B.1 Black and colored Logical Blocks with Screens and Accessories for LiteScout®-Pro


In partnership with theVzFB (Registered Charitable Institution for Furthering the Education of the Blind, Founded in 1876) and other early childhood development organizations, games have been developed especially for the LiteScout®, and other learning and educational materials and accessories have been created that can be used on both the LiteScout® and on conventional light boxes. Even more games and aids will be added in the future.

The set includes 48 black and 96 color tokens in two different sizes (logical blocks) made of top-quality fluorescent plastic and 11 black screens to use with the tokens. The game also includes a 4-segment color filter, 2 color marker sets, 2 black markers, and 5 blank overhead transparency sheets.

Game Ideas

Game 1
Place the screen on the light area and match up the black tokens by shape and size.

Game 2
Proceed as for Game 1, but use the color tokens (see picture).

Game 3
Slide a 4-segment color filter under the screen and match up the color tokens by color, shape, and size (see picture at top of page 7).

Game 4
Slide a blank overhead transparency sheet under the screen and color the geometric shapes using the color markers. Then you can remove the screen and match the colored-in shapes on the transparency with the color tokens. You can also color in the shapes with black markers and match them up with the black tokens, or play the game with color markers and black tokens (see picture at bottom of page 7, LiteScout Product-Line).

Game 5
As a special extra treat, you can add the magnetic logical blocks described in B.7. The magnetic tokens work wonderfully on both the light area and on colored overhead transparency sheets, allowing you to play and learn with the LiteScout® while it is hanging vertically on a wall or even upside down on the ceiling!
